Most fields are surprising small, and while many people meet their future partners at work, it's way too awkward having to face a bad date in the middle of a meeting. It might also be a bad idea to date in your professional network. Maybe a match's current job is just temporary while they apply for their dream position. Maybe your soulmate isn't actually a creative type like you imagined. Maybe the guy whose boring job put you off is really sweet and interesting. If you're a bit of a career snob, you could swipe left on someone who's actually perfect for you. Hey, maybe it's superficial, but it's imporant. Choosing a date who is in the same field, or who you know makes a similar amount of money to you, could mean fewer financial conflicts. Plus, by basing dating decisions on career fields, you could prevent one of the most common causes of break-ups: money. You can be significantly more selective and are more able to track down your dream man who works in architecture/photography/investment banking. While with Tinder you're just matching based on appearance, distance, and shared facebook pages that you liked 4 years ago, with LinkedUp! you can make sure you only match with people who have at least one area of common interest. This means that you're more likely to have stuff in common with matches. Every LinkedUp! user has to list their current job. First of all, you can filter your dating pool by more than just distance and age, as the app allows you to select people who went to a particular school or are in a certain professional field.

There are lots of cool things about LinkedUp!. The app sources profiles from your extended network, then allows you to 'pass' or 'like'. LinkedUp! is a new dating app that works in pretty much the exact same way as Tinder, but pulls potential dates from LinkedIn, rather than from facebook.
